Overview

The Options Screener lets you search and filter the entire U.S. listed options market in one place. Instead of opening one option chain at a time, you work with a single large universe of contracts and narrow it down with the filters that matter to you: option type, strike, expiration, days to expiration, the Greeks, implied volatility, pricing, liquidity, and ticker-level positioning. This page explains what the tool is, what it shows, and who it serves. The Options Screener is available to signed-in Pro accounts. Free and Pro Lite do not include access. Sign-in is required to open it, and anonymous visitors are shown the sign-in prompt.

What it shows

The screener presents the options market as one filterable, sortable table. Each row is a single options contract, and each column is a metric for that contract. A recent snapshot held roughly 1.4 million contracts across about 3,500 underlying symbols, so the table is built to stay responsive across a very large universe by loading results in batches.

You work with the table in the following ways:

  • Filter the universe down to the contracts you care about, using grouped filter tabs or an ad-hoc filter on any column.
  • Sort by any column, ascending or descending, to rank the whole matched set.
  • Add, remove, and reorder columns to build a focused view, from a set of roughly 50 available metrics.
  • Open any contract to a detail card with a price-and-Greeks history chart and a day-by-day history table.
  • Apply a ready-made preset strategy in one click from GNG's Queries.
  • Export your current filtered, sorted result set to CSV, Excel, or PDF.

The screener reads market-wide options data, so it is as useful for finding ideas across many tickers as it is for inspecting one contract in depth. It surfaces and informs. It does not place trades and does not connect to a brokerage.

The metrics it covers

For every contract the table can show contract basics (symbol, strike, expiration, days to expiration), pricing (last, mark, bid, ask, sizes, spread percent), volume and open interest, the five Greeks (delta, gamma, theta, vega, rho), implied volatility metrics (implied volatility, IV rank, IV percentile), a model-based fair-value comparison (theoretical price and the edge in dollars and percent), probability readings, a composite liquidity score, and ticker-level aggregates such as put/call ratios, average implied volatility, volatility skew, term structure, and net Greeks exposure. Each metric is explained in Results and columns.

Use cases

  • Generate ideas across the whole market without checking tickers one at a time, for example finding liquid puts with high IV rank to consider selling, or near-the-money high-gamma contracts for a volatility play.
  • Screen for income candidates: far out-of-the-money contracts with a high probability of expiring worthless and acceptable liquidity.
  • Check liquidity and execution: sort by the liquidity score, spread percent, volume, and open interest to find contracts that are realistic to trade.
  • Screen on relative value: use the model-based edge columns to flag contracts that look cheap or rich, as a starting point for further research.
  • Study one contract in depth: open its detail view to see how its price and Greeks evolved over the last few months alongside the stock.

The Options Screener surfaces tradeable ideas, model-based signals, and strategy write-ups with illustrative example trades. It is for research and education and is not investment advice.
