Library

The Library is one place for everything the assistant has created for you in chats: generated documents and generated images. Open it from the console sidebar to search by name or description, filter by kind, and open or download any item without finding the original conversation. The Library follows AI Console access, so Free, Pro Lite, and Pro can use it.

Before you begin

  • Sign in to your account. The Library opens inside the AI Console.
  • Generate at least one item first. See Generated documents for a file, or ask the assistant for an image in a chat.

Quickstart

  1. Open the Library

From the console sidebar, open Library. It opens inside the console workspace with the sidebar still available.

  2. Search or filter

Type in the search box to match a name or description, or select a kind filter: All, Documents, or Images.

  3. Open or download an item

Select Open to view the item in a new tab, or Download to save it.

What it shows

The heading reads Library with the caption "Your generated documents and images". Below it sit a search box and a kind filter, then your items. The pieces are described in the following sections.

Search and the kind filter

A search box ("Search your library") matches item names and descriptions and ranks results as you type. The kind filter is a set of plain-text toggles: All (the default), Documents, and Images.

Documents and images

Documents appear as rows with a format icon, a name, a short description, and a meta line that shows the format, the file size, and the date. Images appear as tiles with a thumbnail, a name, and a date.

Open and download

Each item carries Open and Download actions. Open shows the item in a new tab, and Download saves it. Both actions mint a fresh private link each time, so an old link expiring never strands an item.

Names and descriptions

Names and descriptions are written by the assistant when it creates an item, so search matches what the item is about. Items created before naming existed show a simpler label: a prompt excerpt for an image, or the format and date for a document.

Inputs

  • Search: free text over names and descriptions, ranked as you type.
  • Kind filter: All (the default), Documents, or Images.
  • Open and Download per item.

Outputs and how to read them

The grid is your own generation history, newest first, across every chat, including items that outlived a deleted chat. A thumbnail that cannot be shown displays a plain "Preview unavailable" state, and the item still opens and downloads. Nothing in the Library spends credits: browsing, searching, opening, and downloading are free, and only generating a new item draws down your balance.

Data and timing

The Library reflects your own application data, updated the moment a generation completes. Items are private to your account.

Use cases

  • Re-download a workbook a week after the chat that produced it.
  • Find a dark-cover PDF about semiconductors by searching a phrase from its description.
  • Collect the images the assistant generated across several chats in one view.

Limitations and disclosures

The Library holds what the assistant generated in your chats. It is not a general file store: files you upload live in your knowledge instead. See Your knowledge and retrieval.
