AI reports
The AI Console turns a conversation into a shareable, branded report you can save as a PDF, and it can also generate finished downloadable files (PDF, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) from any conversation. It sits alongside the platform's dedicated report features for portfolios and individual companies. This page explains the in-console export and share link, then the separate AI Portfolio Report and AI Company Report that produce finished documents from their own pages, including how to read each output and what it carries. The in-console export and share link inherit AI Console access, so Free, Pro Lite, and Pro can use them; the dedicated reports carry their own per-page gates.
Before you begin
- Sign in to your account. The in-console export and share link run inside the AI Console.
- Have at least one finished reply in the chat. The export waits for the current response to finish before it runs.
- To generate an AI Portfolio Report, build or connect a portfolio first. See Build your first portfolio.
What it shows
The console can generate a finished file from a conversation, offers two ways to capture a conversation as it stands, and complements two dedicated report features that live on their own pages. These are described in the following sections.
Generated documents
On request, the assistant designs and builds a finished file from your conversation: a PDF report, a PowerPoint deck, a Word document, or an Excel workbook. The file arrives as a document card with a download control, and it is kept in your Library. A generated document is a designed, standalone file the assistant composes, distinct from the print-style export below, which captures the conversation as it looks. For the full capability, see Generated documents.
In-console PDF export
From the chat actions, save a single message or an entire conversation as a branded PDF. The PDF carries a GNG header and footer, fully rendered inline charts and tables, and a filename derived from the chat title. This is the report the console itself produces from your AI session.
Read-only share link
Generate a read-only link to a conversation, so any signed-in member can open a frozen snapshot of that chat. The full flow, including what is frozen and how to revoke the link, is on the Share a chat page.
AI Portfolio Report
A multi-page PDF generated from one of your portfolios, launched from the Portfolio page. It covers an AI executive summary, safety and quality, performance and returns, valuation, fundamentals, earnings and growth, dividends, a dividend Monte Carlo forecast, sector allocation, sentiment and technicals, a news summary, and insider activity.
AI Company Report
A per-ticker PDF downloaded from a stock's detail page. It covers an executive summary, the GNG scorecard, valuation, financial health, profitability, earnings and growth, dividends, insider activity, sentiment and momentum, a peer comparison, and related GNG research.
Inputs
- In-console PDF export: a scope selector for this message or the whole chat. There is nothing to export until at least one reply exists.
- Share link: a generate-link action that creates a read-only view of the current chat for signed-in members.
- AI Portfolio Report (on the Portfolio page): choose the portfolio and which sections to include, then generate. Pro and above can also schedule recurring reports, daily, weekly, or monthly, that arrive by email.
- AI Company Report (on a stock detail page): a single generate or download action per ticker. One report is produced per ticker per day and shared across users.
Outputs and how to read them
- Exported PDF: a downloadable, branded document of your chat or selected message, with every visual rendered, suitable for saving or sharing outside the app.
- Share link: a read-only view of the chat viewable by any signed-in member, with private results frozen as a snapshot.
- Dedicated reports: a multi-page portfolio PDF or a per-company PDF you read top to bottom. Both include GNG's proprietary scores presented as summary verdicts. Read each score on its published scale, not as a raw formula input.
How it is calculated
The in-console export and share link are not calculations. They render exactly what is already in your conversation. The dedicated portfolio and company reports compute standard, transparent metrics on the underlying data, such as returns, growth rates, allocation percentages, and dividend coverage, and they also surface GNG's proprietary scores.
Data and timing
- The in-console export and share link reflect your live conversation at the moment you generate them.
- The dedicated reports read the platform's company and portfolio data, built from AlphaVantage (including Nasdaq-listed quotes delivered through AlphaVantage) and EDGAR, refreshed on the platform's regular update schedule.
- The AI Company Report is generated once per day per ticker. The AI Portfolio Report is generated on demand, and on a schedule for Pro and above.
Use cases
- Save a research conversation as a branded PDF to file or send to a colleague.
- Share a read-only chat snapshot with another member for review.
- Generate a full portfolio health report before a review, or schedule it to arrive automatically (Pro and above).
- Pull a one-page-per-company intelligence report from a stock's detail page (paid tiers).
Limitations and disclosures
Every report and exported conversation presents valuations, performance, and analysis, so each is research, not a recommendation. A report reflects the data as it stood when it was generated. The in-console export and share link inherit console access. Company Report requires Pro; Free and Pro Lite do not include access. AI Portfolio Report runs within per-tier limits, with recurring scheduling reserved for Pro. Confirm the current limits on each report's own surface.
GNG Research provides equity research and educational tools, not investment advice. Nothing on the platform is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. Do your own research and consider your circumstances before making any investment decision.
