Create your account and explore

This quickstart walks you through creating a free GNG Research account, verifying your email, and reaching your dashboard ready to explore. You can sign up with an email and password, with Google, or with a passwordless magic link. A free account is created instantly and is open to anyone.

Creating an account requires you to accept that GNG Research provides information only, not investment advice.

Before you begin

Have a valid email address you can check, because verification is required to confirm the address.
Decide on a sign-up method: email and password, Google, or a magic link sent to an existing account.
Optional: choose a username (3 to 30 characters, letters and numbers only). Leave it blank to have one generated for you.

Steps

Open the sign-up page
Go to the sign-up page. The card opens in Create Your Account mode. To return to sign-in at any time, use the toggle to Welcome Back.
Choose a sign-up method
To sign up with Google, select Sign Up with Google and complete the Google prompt. Google is the only social provider currently enabled. To sign up with an email and password, continue to the next step.
Enter your details
Enter your Full Name, your Email, and a Password of at least 6 characters. Optionally enter a Username. As you type a username, a live check shows "Checking availability...", then "Username is available" in green or "Username is already taken" in red.
Accept the terms
Select the I accept the Terms of Service checkbox. This also acknowledges that GNG Research provides information only, not investment advice. You cannot create an account without selecting it.
Submit and pass the security check
Submit the form. A security check may appear to confirm you are not a bot. Complete it if prompted.
Verify your email
A confirmation reads "Account created! Check your email to verify your account." Open the verification email and select the link. If it does not arrive, use Resend verification email or sign in with Email me a one-time magic link.
Reach your dashboard
After your email is verified and you sign in, you land on your dashboard, ready to browse articles and try the tools.

Sign in to an existing account

To sign in, open the sign-in page, enter your email and password, and submit. A toast reads "Welcome back!".

Reset a forgotten password

If you forgot your password, select Forgot your password? and enter your email. You receive a reset email and a 6-digit recovery code. Enter the code with Have a 6-digit code? Enter it here, then set a new password of at least 8 characters. Recovery codes expire after one hour. You can also select Reset password in the email to open the new-password form.

Sign in without a password

If you already added a passkey in Profile, use Sign In with a Passkey in a supported browser and follow the device prompt. See Passkeys for setup and management.

To sign in without a password, select Email me a one-time magic link and enter your email. A toast reads "Magic link sent!". Open the link to sign in. Magic links work only for accounts that already exist.

Field reference

Field	Accepted values
Full Name	Free text, required on sign-up.
Username	Optional, 3 to 30 characters, letters and numbers only. Blank auto-generates one.
Email	A valid email address, required.
Password	Required, minimum 6 characters on sign-up, minimum 8 when setting a new password during recovery.
Terms of Service	Required checkbox. You cannot create an account without it.
Recovery code	6 digits from the reset email, expires after one hour.

Common errors and how to read them

The email is already registered: sign in instead, or reset your password.
The email is not confirmed: use Resend verification email or a magic link to finish.
The email or password is wrong: re-enter your details or reset your password.
Too many attempts: wait, then retry or use a magic link.

A green username indicator means the name is available and valid. A red indicator means it is taken or in an invalid format.

Data and timing

This is not market data. A free account is created instantly. Verification and magic-link emails arrive within moments. Email verification is required to confirm your address before you can sign in.
