Multiple compare

Multiple compare plots valuation ratios for one company on the same timeline. Inspect how different measures change over the same dates. The view is available on Free, Pro Lite, and Pro.

Before you begin

Open a company in Advanced Charting. Available ratios depend on that company's financial history.

Quickstart

  1. Open Multiple compare

Choose a company in Advanced Charting, then select Multiple compare.

  2. Choose ratios

Open Add ratio and select an available measure. Use the remove control beside an existing measure to replace it when the displayed limit is reached.

  3. Set the window

Select a year window, Max, or a Custom date range.

  4. Inspect a date

Hover or touch the chart. Selected shows the date and the readings for your chosen ratios. Away from the chart, Latest shows the most recent date.

Outputs and how to read them

Price-to ratios display as multiples. A ratio compares price with its named financial measure, so two different ratios are not interchangeable even when their numerical values match.

PEG and PEGY choices show additional context, including the current ratio on consensus growth and a historical window median where available. The historical series and today's consensus reading use different growth bases.

Data and timing

The chart shows the latest date covered by its daily history. Gaps mean the ratio cannot be calculated for that date. No comparable multiple history means the selected choices have no usable history.

Limitations and disclosures

This view compares measures within a company. Use Compare to inspect two companies. Missing or negative financial measures can prevent a meaningful ratio.
