Open your first chart

Start with a company's price and valuation history, then save the setup for your next review.

Before you begin

Sign in on Free, Pro Lite, or Pro. Open Advanced Charting.

Open and read a chart

  1. Choose a company

Use the company search at the top and select a result.

  2. Set the view

Select Valuation. Choose a measure from Price-to metric and a year window. Choose Max for all available history.

  3. Read a date

Hover over the chart or touch a point. Read the matching date, price, and valuation figures in the summary. Move away to return to the current summary.

  4. Inspect price history

Select Price. Choose Candles, OHLC, Line, or Area. Open Overlays to show events or volume.

  5. Save the setup

Open Saved views, enter a View name, and select Save.

Check the result

Your named view appears under Saved views. Select it later to restore its company and chart settings. Reopening a saved view uses the available data at that time.

If a measure is missing

The measure picker lists choices supported by the company's data. Choose another measure or another company. If no forward estimates are available, the forecast control explains that limitation.
