Overview

Advanced Charting brings price history and valuation context into one workspace. Use it to examine a company over time, compare valuation measures, or compare two companies.

Before you begin

Sign in and open Advanced Charting. Free, Pro Lite, and Pro can use this tool. Saved views and drawings have account limits shown by the product.

What it shows

  • Valuation: compare price with the selected valuation measure, historical context, dividends, and available forecasts.
  • Price: inspect daily price history, event markers, volume, and your drawings.
  • Multiple compare: compare different valuation ratios for the same company.
  • Compare: place two companies' valuation charts beside each other.
  • Projection: select two plotted points and read the annualized change between them.
  • Saved views: name a chart setup and reopen it later.

Search for a company at the top. Choose a time window with the year buttons, Max, or Custom. Controls change with the active view. For example, Overlays belongs to Price and Forecast years belongs to Valuation.

On a phone, controls wrap and chart summaries sit below the chart. Drawing creation is available on desktop.

Data and timing

The price chart uses daily history, adjusted for share splits. Financial measures, dividends, and analyst estimates can have different reporting dates. Read the date and basis shown with each figure. A missing measure or forecast is unavailable data, not a zero.

Use cases

  • Compare a company's current valuation with its own history.
  • Inspect a price move alongside earnings or dividend events.
  • Save a view to revisit the same company and settings.

Limitations and disclosures

Valuation charts describe assumptions and historical relationships. Forecasts and implied returns are scenarios, not promises. A chart value can differ from the company page's combined fair-value estimate because it represents the selected measure.
