Share an article

This page shows you how to share a research article with others. You can use your device's share sheet, a social network, an email, or a copied link. The share control appears for readers with full access to the article; the article reader itself is open to all.

Before you begin

  • Open an article you can read in full. The share control sits in the action row of the article, beside like, bookmark, and listen. For the reader, see Read an article.

What it shows

  • A Share control in the article's action row, beside like, bookmark, and listen.
  • A menu of share targets:
    • Share... (your device's native share sheet), shown when your device or browser supports it.
    • X / Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Reddit, each opening that network's share window.
    • Email, which opens a new message with the title and link prefilled.
    • Copy link, which copies the article's web address to your clipboard and confirms with a short message.

Steps

  1. Open the Share menu

In the open article, select Share in the action row to open the menu of share targets.

  2. Pick a target

Select the device share sheet, a social network (X / Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Reddit), Email, or Copy link.

  3. Send or paste

For a share sheet or social network, complete the share in the window that opens. For Email, send the prefilled message. For Copy link, paste the link wherever you want it.

Outputs and how to read them

  • Native share sheet: your device's own share options open, prefilled with the article title and link.
  • Social network window: a share window for the chosen network opens in a new tab, prefilled with the article title and link.
  • Email: a new email opens with the article title as the subject and the title and link in the body.
  • Copy link: the article's address is on your clipboard, confirmed by a short "Article link copied to clipboard" message. Paste it anywhere.

Data and timing

The shared link is the article's public web address. The share text uses the article title and a short slice of its summary. Anyone who opens the link sees the article on the terms their own plan allows, so a shared premium article may show a recipient a free preview or a lock rather than the full text. No external market data is involved.

Use cases

  • Send a research piece to a colleague by email or your device's share sheet.
  • Post an article to X, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Reddit.
  • Copy the link to paste into a chat, a document, or a note.
  • Share a free-inclusive article so a recipient without a plan can read it in full.

Tier access

The share control appears for readers with full access to the article, including Free, Pro Lite, and Pro accounts; the article reader itself is open to all, as covered in Read an article. A recipient's own plan determines what they see when they open the link. For current plans, see the table below.

The live plan details are shown on the pricing page in the application.

Limitations and disclosures

Sharing produces no valuation or forecast, so this page needs no separate investment-advice statement. The shared article still carries the platform's research framing and disclosures; see Equity research, not investment advice.
