Government Contracts
Government Contracts describes recorded U.S. federal contract activity for a company. The section appears when coverage exists and is available to Free, Pro Lite, and Pro users.
Before you begin
Open a company page with government-contract coverage.
Quickstart
- Open Government Contracts.
- Read trailing obligations and the comparison with revenue.
- Review recent awards and their agencies, amounts, and dates.
- Compare the activity with the company's reported financial results.
What it shows

| New Awards (TTM) | Contracts that started in the trailing period. |
| Avg Remaining Term | The amount-weighted average remaining term of the largest active contracts, in months. |

Outputs and how to read them
Recent awards
The awards list shows Award ID, Agency, Obligated, Start, End, and Description. It highlights recent contracts ranked by obligated amount. On smaller screens, the less prominent description and end-date details are hidden.
An award amount describes the recorded commitment. It does not establish when the company will recognize revenue or receive cash.
Data and timing
Read the section's displayed update information. Awards and obligations can change after the original award. A missing section means GNG has no covered figures to show for that company; it does not prove the company has no government exposure.
Use cases
Use the section to investigate dependence on a major customer, changes in award activity, or contract duration. Compare it with financial statements and the company's own disclosures.
Limitations and disclosures
Contract changes, timing differences, and incomplete coverage limit comparisons with reported revenue. An error loading the section is distinct from missing coverage.
