Create a workflow
This guide takes you from a blank workflow to a saved research result. You collect a ticker quote and pass it to a report without adding AI analysis or a schedule. Free, Pro Lite, and Pro can follow this procedure.
Before you begin
- Sign in and open Workflows.
- Check that your plan has room for another workflow. The surface shows your current allowance.
- Choose a ticker you want to review.
Steps
Create a blank workflow
Select Start from a blank canvas in the initial gallery, or New workflow in the workflow list. Choose Blank, enter a Name, and select Create workflow.
Add a ticker quote
Under Add data, select Ticker quote. On a phone, open the add button first. Select the new step and enter your symbol in Tickers.
Add a report
Under Send and save, add Saved report. Select it and enter a Report title.
Check the connection
Adding the report while the quote is selected connects them automatically. Check for that connection. If it is absent, drag from the quote step's output connection to the report step's input connection. Leave out a trigger for this first manual workflow.
Test the draft
Select Test. The run detail opens and shows each step as it runs. Inspect the report preview and the quote step's Output.
Save the runnable version
Select Open workflow to return to the editor, then select Save. Resolve any listed issues. A successful save publishes the draft and leaves this new workflow inactive.
Find the result again
Return to Workflows and open Outputs. Select View beside the saved report to reopen its run.
Create from a description
For an AI-built draft, select Build with AI from the initial gallery, or choose Describe it in New workflow. Enter What should it do? and select Generate workflow. Name is optional on this path.
Describe the starting condition, the data to use, the analysis, and the desired output. For example, request a weekly watchlist news summary saved as a report. Generation uses GNG credits. Review the resulting draft, choose any missing resources or models, and test it before saving.
If generation fails, read the error. The new workflow remains available for you to build in the editor or discuss through Refine.
